FLP Debate Group was held Debate Training in Faculty of Social Science, National University of Laos.

We, as FLP Debate Group has achieved the welcoming in Debate Training for Faculty of Social Science Students on 2/27/2013. The training was honored by the vice dean of Faculty to opened the  ceremony and was a part of training which has given as an amazing  speeches and opinions regarding to FLP Dabate Group's members and the training.

We expect that the training will fulfill their knowledge on debating skills, and self development. Students also paid so much attention on what we provided and energized in every activities. The president of FLP Debate Group has realized about how could we contribute debate community to society and develop our young generation in the new field of studying . On the successful event that FLP debate Group was organized by members of group and we were proud of the achievement .

While training, Students have asked a lot of questions and we were glad to answer in every each of those questions in order to make the best of understanding of contents in training. We have 2 trainers which both of them are also the members of Debate group, they were prepared of contents of training. Most of student from FSS are interested in debating , they tried to be involved every part of presentation and training Ex Debate on Cases, Rolling Debate, flow Debate and Karl Proper Debate style.


After the training, we have given Certificate to certified that student from FSS have trained in Debate Training. This activity as considered as the first time of group out side Main Campus Dongdok University of Laos to held debate training all day.

Jakarta Model United Nations 2012, Indonesia

Opening Ceremony of The first International Jakarta Model United Nations 2012, Jakarta, Indonesia.

 We've sent 3 delegates  from  FLP Debate group and 4 delegates from ALSA Laos.

 We have worked pretty hard researching regarding to the topic !! After the last session .

Delegates from Laos , 1 delegate in Security Council, and 6 in General Assembly.

What is JMUN?

Jakarta Model United Nations

Enlisted in MUN international calendar, Jakarta Model United Nations (JMUN) is the first-ever international Model United Nations (MUN) in Indonesia which was held by ISAFIS (Indonesian Students Association for International Studies) in 2011. MUN is a simulation of United Nations conference that is often held abroad and attracts  local and foreigner students world wide.

JMUN offers an unique opportunity to experience the challenges of international negotiation and diplomacy. The participants (hereinafter referred as delegates), will play a role as the representative of member counties of United Nations. Throughout the conference, delegates will gain insight into the workings of the United Nations by actively participating in the resolution of important global issues. In other countries, there are a lot of MUNs that have been held annually, such as Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) in United States, Emirates Model United Nations (EmiMUN) in Dubai, etc.

In 2011, the first JMUN successfully attracted more than 400 delegates to apply while only 157 delegates allowed to participate due to the limited slots. Applicants are ranging from local universities, such as Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Mulawarman, Universitas Hasanussin, Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Riau, Universitas Negeri Semarang, etc., to foreign universities,such as University of Washington, Yonsei University, Northumbria University, etc/

This year, under the theme “Creating Sustainable Development through Young Generations’ Action”, there will be more than 200 delegates worldwide who will be positioned into four committees in JMUN 2012. They are: United Nations-General Assembly (UN-GA), United Nations-Security Council (UN-SC), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Special Agency (European Union/EU). The delegates will discuss a certain problem regarding the topic of their committee and respond to the problem according to the stance and views of the country they represent.

After lot of application forms have sent to Admin. We felt like energies of new debaters have placed in our environment. New members have been interview and were selected to be new members of FLP Debate Group.

On 2-3 February 2013, two days of training  has strengthen them as energy, self-esteem, self -development pf debate skills. They have learned many part of our training course. Moreover, they still made new friend while the course.

New debaters have released to develop our Nation as well as to be their own study tools to achieve studying in University.

We love Debating !!

FLP Debate Group holds Debate Training in Faculty of Social Science, NUoL

Faculty of Social Science is one of 11 faculties in National University of Laos. Faculty of Law and Political Science Debate Group is honored to collaborate with Faculty of Social Science in Debate Training on 27/02/2013.

FLP Debate Group expects that, this particular Debate Training  would help both students from FLP-FSS strengthen relationship and widely learning about Debating as a new tools of studying , especially University's students.

The program will be held from 8:00-4:30, 201 meeting room.

Debate training and Public Speaking Contest, 22 - 23/12/ 2012

At the end of Debate training and Public Speaking Contest , we handed out Certificate of Attendance to each of Participants . we were very glad seeing each of participant has improved thier critical thinking skills as well as debating .

    
 This is the first ever Public Speaking that was held in FLP- NUoL with cooperation with IDEA OR International Debate Education Association . The activity was organized by FLP Debate Club and successfully organizing . Thank you very much for your attention in this participation and also thank you to our dean at FLP and IDEA .
